First of all, an apology, I'm a bit late with this posting. So, before the Christmas season grips us fully, if it hasn't already in your house, I thought I'd do a layout that didn't include red, green or sparkles. This picture is of my Aunt Edith, and her son and daughter and grandchildren, my 'extended' immediate family. I let the paper lead the way on this one, using the blue writing on the pattern to give an accent colour. I stamped an L shaped border on vellum using the Scribble Flowers stamps without the words, and used the same set for the handmade embellishment. Making your own embellishments like this really makes a layout unique and very personal to you, it also allows you to make things exactly in the colours, sizes and textures you want. And in this current financial climate it makes good money sense too. Stamps are an excellent investment for scrapbooking as they are so versatile and can be used again and again.
